The Great British Entrepreneurs Scale-Up Conference: Tech, Talent, Trade and Funding – The Great British Entrepreneur Awards

The NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards has launched the Great British Entrepreneur Scale-Up Conference in association with Coutts. The inaugural Scale-Up Conference takes place in Central London on 20 th November 2017. It will be a one day event offering advice and practical ideas to support exciting fast growth UK businesses.

Keynote talk at West Kent B2B 2016

Happy to be talking at West Kent B2B event 2pm 10 March 2016.

The general topic will be ‘Powwownow building a £33m company – from startup to sale.’

The brief from the organiser was ‘speaking about how you started and grew your business it is such an achievement would be really interesting. What you learnt along the way, possibly what you would do different and tips of your success to pass on to other businesses.’

This is quite a big topic for a 20 minute talk so I thought the most relevant bits of the journey for the West Kent B2B audience will be the growth stage – digital marketing and building a brand.

For the start up element I will talk through the decisions we took last year in the creation of Thortful (a new greeting card startup www.thortful.com) – this is more relevant than the startup landscape in 2003/4 when Powwownow got going.
